The folks at Hi-Rez Studios have put together another dev blog - this time in video form, to talk about upcoming things in Global Agenda including epic melee weapons, endgame devices, and more. With contributions from Todd Harris, Mick Larkins, Daniel Lilleberg, and many other members of the team, there's plenty of perspective on the cool new things in GA's future.
In addition to the release date announcement today, a video preview has been released over at The Escapist. It's probably the most cohesive view of the game released outside of beta yet, so if you still haven't gotten the chance to play in beta yet, take a look.
Check out this video interview with Stew Chisam on GameBreaker, shot at the 2009 Austin Game Developers Conference. There might be some new info for you (or at the very least, more fleshed-out detail) about the game - including some of the first real talk about exactly what kind of persistence you might see for the campaigns.
Ten Ton Hammer has posted yet another video interview with Todd Harris from the PAX show floor - the interview is approximately 12 minutes long. Take a look! The audio isn't the best quality (it was recorded in the midst of the Expo) but you can make out most of it.
One of the animators working for Hi-Rez Studios posted a demo reel on YouTube yesterday showing some of the various animations produced for the game. You can find the video here - thanks to Karism and GAMC for spotting it and pointing it out. The video's also embedded after the jump for your convenience. Note that the coloring/texturing and even some of the models themselves are most definitely not the precise ones used in the actual game - a lot of them are placeholder or even simplified for animation testing purposes.
CGi had representation at QuakeCon, and now they've posted a video from the event. Not only does it include an interview with Stew, but it also shows off the booth and all of the QuakeCon attendees trying out Global Agenda, many for the first time. Check it out! The sound quality could be better, but when all you've got to work with is a lobby area, it could also be worse.
Not to be outdone, Hi-Rez Studios put together their own video of the events from the first day of QuakeCon. Check it out on YouTube here to see Stew and the rest of the team down at the con, as well as various members of the GA community who happened to stop by the booth!
We've all seen Todd Harris on video tons of times... and now, for something completely different! It's Stew! Stew Chisam of Hi-Rez talks with Equinox Visual on the QuakeCon convention floor in this video interview. The video is also embedded after the jump.
