Hi-Rez has updated the Answer Center article about the beta with an specific date for the start of the beta: July 24th. While they note that this could change even up to the last moment if they decide that something isn't quite right and needs to be tweaked first, this is the first specific date they've given - so hold on to your jetpacks, because it's coming up fast. More info after the jump.
Invitations for CBT-1 will be sent over a series of weeks in late June and early July, with the first wave of invites being sent to those players that participated in the Alpha Testing program. If you receive a Beta invitation, you will need to re-confirm your availability and willingness to participate prior to being formally admitted into CBT-1. Your invitation will include instructions on how to confirm, and the due date by which you must confirm. Once confirmed, you will receive additional details regarding the program and how and when to get started testing.
Today, Hi-Rez Studios released another short story set in the Global Agenda universe, again written by Nathan Knaack. You can read his story The Cure for Life in HexAgenda's fiction section. In addition, a couple of new fan-created works of fiction have also been added to the Fan-Created portion of the fiction area. All of them are enjoyable reads, so take some time to give them a look!
